Who we are

This site is operated by Lotus & Anchor ("we", "us"), a coaching practice based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. You can reach us at hello@lotusandanchor.com.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to provide coaching services:

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, time zone, and anything you choose to share in an intake form, survey, session, or message.
• Booking and payment records. Session dates, packages purchased, and payment history. Card numbers are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us or on this website.
• Basic site analytics. If analytics are enabled, aggregate data such as pages visited and general location. This is not tied to your identity.

How we use it

To schedule and deliver sessions, process payments, send appointment reminders and confirmations, respond to your messages, and maintain your client records. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Session confidentiality

What you share in a coaching session is confidential. We follow the International Coaching Federation Code of Ethics. The narrow exceptions are where disclosure is required by law, or where there is a credible risk of serious harm to you or another person.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the practice, and only as needed:

• Paperbell — scheduling, client records, and the client portal.
• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card details directly under its own privacy policy.
• Netlify — website hosting.
• Video conferencing and email providers — for sessions and correspondence.

How long we keep it

Client records are retained while you are an active client and for a reasonable period afterward, consistent with professional practice and any tax or legal obligation. You can ask us to delete your records at any time and we will do so unless we are required to keep them.

Your choices

You can request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time using the link in any such message — this does not affect appointment confirmations and reminders, which are part of the service. Virginia residents

Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Virginia residents have the right to confirm whether we process their personal data, access and obtain a copy of it, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling. We do not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or profiling. To exercise a right, contact us at hello@lotusandanchor.com. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and our platform providers hold their own security certifications. No system is perfectly secure, so please use good judgment about what you send by email.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Cookies

This website itself sets no tracking cookies. Embedded scheduling and payment tools set cookies necessary for them to function.

Changes

If we update this policy we will change the date at the top. Material changes will be communicated to active clients directly.
